Dr. Duo ZHANG is currently working in Department of Civil and Environmental
Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as the Research Fellow,
specializing in the interdisciplinary field of transportation science and
vehicle dynamics. His research focuses on reducing the energy consumption
for the train by the optimization of carbody gravity center, suspension
control, and innovative train operation control strategy based on the
dynamics simulation results. Dr. ZHANG holds a PhD in Transportation
Planning and Management from Southwest Jiaotong University, which equipped
him with a strong foundation in railway engineering. His research works
have been published in top-tier journals such as Applied Energy and Energy.
